About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

The experience of aging is itself a doorway to spiritual practice, one that transcends any particular religion or faith.

-Lewis Richmond, Aging as a Spiritual Practice

50 and beyond is a time of soul-making. People throughout the world are now living longer as part of a Divine plan – we’re being given an extra 20 – 30 years of life so that we can evolve and access deeper levels of consciousness that we can then share with the world to help others – to mentor others and become stewards and guardians of the world.

- From Age-ing to Sage-ing by Zalman Schachter-Shalomi

Open yourself to life after 60 as an unprecedented period of growth, fulfillment and inner renewal. In this workshop we will frame aging as a spiritual practice that can help us to focus on positive aspects of aging that transcend culture, age and time. And we’ll explore how to let go of aging-related fears, practical guidelines and practices for choosing inner peace throughout life, the role resilience plays in graceful aging, creative envisioning, redefining purpose and how to relax, look deeply and let go in the death and dying process.

The first day of this three-part series will be held at the Tau Center, followed by two Zoom workshops. This workshop experience will include instructor presentation, discussion, writing/ journaling, and time for reflection.
