Event description

Description

Garden of 1.74 hectares that is used by locals to sit in summer on any of its terraces. It was designed in the 30s and 40s by the architects Fernando García Mercadal (1932) and Manuel Herrero Palacios (1945) who formed a first body surrounded by a low wall, which is accessed by stairs, an area with trees, central fountain and marked massifs with lawn, granite steps and lampposts and a bust of Zuloaga.

Called the Vistillas for its magnificent views of the banks of the Manzanares and the Casa de Campo, it is also the place for famous festivals and popular festivities. The days of good weather, this small wooded park is full of terraces, which become ideal outdoor seats to witness a spectacular sunset.

The statue of La Violetera stands out in the gardens, the work of the sculptor Santiago de Santiago, who represents the famous Argentine starlet Celia Gámez (1905-1992) ..
