About the Event

Saint Louis University's Visiting Young Scholars Program invites all admitted high school students in the program for Summer 2017 to a mandatory oreintation. 

The orientation will prepare the students for their summer courses at SLU and introduce individuals to campus, resources, expectations, and deadlines.

Join on Thursday, June 08, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Saint Louis University's Pere Marquette Gallery in DuBourg Hall, on the campus of Saint Louis University.


 

VYS Orientation Agenda 

10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.   Registration

10:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Welcome and Introductions 

10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Orientation to SLU: Overview

12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Lunch

12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Student Ids and Bookstore

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Campus Tour and Dismissal


 

Parking

Complimentary parking available at the University's Laclede Parking Garage (3642 Laclede Avenue, St Louis 63103) at the corner of Grand and Laclede.

Your parking will be validated at the event.

The Stand-Out Program for Outstanding High School Students

The 1818 Advanced College Credit Program at Saint Louis University provides an opportunity for qualified high school juniors and seniors in partner high schools to begin experiencing the academic rigors of college course work while still in high school.

In addition to receiving credit toward high school graduation for selected academic courses, students may opt additionally to dual enroll in courses approved for college credit through Saint Louis University.
