New York's wholesale flower market is one of the industry's best kept secrets. Open only for a few hours every morning, the market boasts a staggering variety of freshly cut flowers that to simply see and smell is an experience in its own right.
Host Victoria Monsul, founder of Flower Details, will help you go a step further by navigating through the colorful aisles and piles of flowers as she explains how she makes her selections based on color palette, meaning and budget.
You'll head to a studio around the corner afterwards, where Victoria will give you a hands-on workshop in transforming your flowers into art with all the essential materials. As you compose your own bouquets to take home for yourself or a loved one, she'll tell you about history of flower arranging, her own process for making floral compositions for clients, and the best practices to keep your flowers fresh for Valentine's Day.
