Indonesia has over 17,500 islands – yet one stands above the rest! From its origins in 2000 BCE to what is today perhaps the number one tourist destination throughout Asia (and the world), tonight we will join live virtual guides for a tour and experience of the island of Bali in Indonesia!
Begin with the history of this beautiful exotic island by the migrants throughout Asia, including its European discovery by Dutchman Cornelis de Houtman in 1597. Learn how Bali has grown in popularity and flourished throughout world history astonishing as the only non-Islamic Island in the most populated muslin country in the world Virtually tour amazing sites such as a virtual climb up Mt. Batur, Nusa Lembongan, the art and Sacred Monkey Temple of Ubud, Kuta Beach and much more.
We will conclude with a Balinese dance performance (accompanied by a Gamelan Band) that took place in 2020 at the Embassy of Indonesia.
