Virtual Tasting with DAOU Vineyards - the Power of the Mountain

Join us for a special virtual tasting with DAOU Vineyards, one of California’s benchmark wineries, renowned for its dynamic portfolio of wines and its mastery of Cabernet Sauvignon. DAOU Vineyards is the culmination of brothers Georges and Daniel Daou's lifelong dream of making quality wine. 

The dream began decades earlier when the family emigrated to Cannes, Paris from Lebanon as children. In France, their father Joseph developed a passion for wine, and it was here, surrounded by vineyards and centuries of winemaking tradition, that Georges and Daniel first dreamt of a life in wine. After selling their successful company, DAOU Systems, in 1998, their childhood dream began to be a reality. For years, Daniel had been making wine in his garage in rural San Diego, tending to a one-acre vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon, and reading every book he could find about winemaking. He knew he was destined to be a winemaker and knew it was time to start a winery. The brothers set forth to find an unrivaled terroir for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, a quest that led them to a place of foretold greatness: DAOU Mountain. Decades earlier, renowned wine-making authority, André Tchelistcheff hailed the mountain as “a jewel of ecological elements.”

DAOU was officially founded in 2007 after the brothers purchased DAOU Mountain, opening up an untapped world-class terroir in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. The brother's dream of bringing joy and pleasure to people around the world was finally a reality.
