About Virtual Salon:

Virtual Salon is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut Pune and the Alliance Française de Pune that offers artists and creatives a platform to showcase their work, discover the work of others, and hence build a network for future collaborations. On a biweekly basis, the Virtual Salon opens its doors to a guest-speaker and a musical guest who share stories and anecdotes of their work over the course of an open interview.

About the Guest Speaker:

Manjiri Khandekar is the Editor-in-Chief of ‘Heritage India’, a magazine that focuses on ancient Indian heritage, culture and arts. From April 2020 till date, Heritage India, in collaboration with the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute has conducted several online courses on various aspects of Indian heritage catering to a global audience. Punyakatha – Pune’s Story of a million years – a children’s book cum family encyclopedia is Manjiri’s latest project.

About the Guest Musician:

Manasi is a singer-songwriter from Pune. Corporate lawyer by day and musician by night, her sound is inspired by the kind of music she listens to, which can best be described as a mix of 2000s pop and contemporary indie
