Event description

Description

From April 6th, 2018, through May 11th, 2018 Six sessions of two hours each.

Start your journey in Virtual Reality and create your own VR application.

This is the second of our five courses in VR Specialization Program, where you will learn and master the foundations of C#, Unity, and VR by building practical projects.

The program is taught by a College Teacher and a professional with a long working experience in Game Development and VR:

Meet the instructor:

Bryan is a software engineer and a College Teacher that has worked in the gaming industry for over 16 years and has shipped multiple AAA titles along with smaller indie and web-based games. Over the course of his career, he has worked on projects with most of the major publishing and development companies such as Microsoft, Activision-Blizzard, THQ, Sega, Apple, and more. Most of his work is focused on developing game engine components and sub-systems, but his multi-disciplined expertise has led him to produce top quality content in the past for every aspect a video game could ever need. In his spare time, he enjoys creating and publishing traditional board/card games for his own amusement and doing "research" on every game out there.

Design and develop your very own VR experience with the power of Unity.

Our Lab is equipped with the last technology available in the market and four HTC VR workstations available to this course. Our participants will have an extra bonus of one hour VR Lab time per week ($195 value that is included). VR Lab is recommended to complete the assignments and practice the concepts learned in classes. Also is a great opportunity to share your VR experiences with your peers in a relaxed and friendly environment.

This Hands-on training to becoming a VR game developer with Unity is an intensive program, industry-focused that require the complete commitment of participants and extra hours of homework and Lab to finish the classes projects.

Our Instructors, always professionals or advanced university students working in the virtual reality industry, will help you to learn step by step the basics concepts of VR and how to build VR apps.

At the end of the specialization (five courses), you will be able to create your own VR application from scratch and dominate the basics principles of the VR industry. And this is just the beginning, just start adding hard-working hours (you will really need a lot) and complete more projects to your portfolio to become a VR Developer.

Here the key learning values of the specialization:

  1. Code in C# and build immersive games with Unity

  2. VR teleportation, cabin experiences and more

  3. Using Interface design in VR

  4. Basics of 3D game artwork creation

  5. SteamVR experiences

  6. 360° media (photos and video)
