Come see fantastic works of virtual art at the XR Marin VR Art Show from 10:00-2:00 on Saturday, November 17! Bring family and friends to see the 3D artwork, virtual creations of local artists, and virtual reality demonstrations!
November 17, 2018 is also International Virtual Reality Day and XR Marin is one of over 58 locations worldwide celebrating virtual reality as part of this international event. Learn more at virtualrealityday.org.
Featured Artist: Lisa Padilla
XR Marin is excited to announce that esteemed virtual reality artist and entrepreneur, Lisa Padilla, will be the event’s featured artist. From 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Ms. Padilla will be creating a virtual reality art piece live and giving a keynote address. Ms. Padilla is a multimedia artist with 25 years of experience and a specialty in virtual reality. Recognized globally in art shows and magazines and the Journal of Contemporary Painting, she collaborates and participates in community work involving art and therapy work through the use of virtual reality and psychology. Her work reflects a fascination with pop culture and dramatic art. She is particularly interested in the feeling that VR leaves with you once you remove the headset and the lasting effects of the immersive experience in the real world. She is also the CEO of NewPathVR, a company that makes virtual reality applications for mental health.
