NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session course for adults living with mental health challenges.

This course will be held virtually. Registration is open statewide to those who are interested in attending.

NOTE: This class is for educational purposes only. It does not include CE credits. If you are interested in becoming a NAMI Peer-to-Peer Leader, we encourage you to take this course first and then participate in a future training.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. Taught by a trained team of people who've been there, the program includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises.

  • Sessions will be held online on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon.
  • The course manual is free and will be provided electronically.
  • Registration before the first class begins in required.
  • Space limited. You can be added to the waitlist if slots fill up before the registration period ends.
  • In addition to the screening questions, you will be contacted the week of the first class to see if you have any questions or concerns.
  • The videoconference/conference call information will be sent to you the week of class. Be sure to check your spam folder if you have not received an email by Friday, September 4.

This Peer-to-Peer series runs through October 24, 2020.

This in-person group experience provides the opportunity for mutual support and positive impact. You can experience compassion and reinforcement from people who relate to your experiences. Through your participation, you have the opportunity to help others grow. This is a confidential place to learn from shared experiences in an environment of sincere, uncritical acceptance. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope for all people living with mental illness.
