Virtual Meetup By FoodHack Brisbane
Event Information
About this Event
Life is complex, nuanced and ambiguous. It's impossible to know everything. But, something that's become very clear over the last few years is that our food system is - by definition - broken. It's inequitable and unevenly distributed. It's inefficient. It is almost certainly contributing negatively to the planetary boundaries that we need to operate within to ensure a better future.
For these and many other reasons we - Nick, Nate and Bianca - are stoked to bring you the first ever FoodHack event down under. We will hear from Selasi Berdi of Sprout Organics, Bianca Lē of Cellular Agriculture Australia and Damien Turner from Garden of Vegan.
Selasi will share insights about Sprout's approach to tackling the status quo of infant products. Bianca will share insights into the saucy science of cell agriculture. Damien will help us all better understand modern approaches to food as medicine.
This is sure to be an incredible event for all involved. It's designed to help us collaboratively explore a variety of topics that together have the potential to contribute to a better food system for all.
This session will take place virtually. We'll run the session using Zoom.
All we ask is that you come with an open mind, your favourite drink and some yummy snacks.
It'll work as follows:
