PICNIC WEEK: June 1 at 10am– Mason Jar Cakes & Cobblers with Shanna
Join Shanna for perfect picnic dessert inspirations that you can pack for the whole family! Ingredients and recipes of fun mason jar creations will be shared at the end of class.
ZOO WEEK: June 8 at 10am – Gorilla Bread with Charlotte
Ingredients/Supplies:
- ½ cup salted butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuits (8 count big biscuits)
- 8 oz. low-fat cream cheese
- ½ cups chopped pecans
- Supplies: nonstick cooking spray, Bundt pan, medium microwave safe bowl, large bowl, large spoon measuring cups/spoons
GREAT OUTDOORS WEEK: June 15 at 10am – Vegan Dutch Baby & Roasted Strawberries with Mary
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 1.5 tablespoon ground flax seeds
- 4 tablespoon water
- 4.5 tablespoons aquafaba* (liquid from canned chickpeas)
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup plant based milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup vegan butter or margarine
- Powdered sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, stems removed
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch sea salt
- A squeeze of lime juice and a bit of lime zest
- Supplies: Cast iron skillet, bowl, whisk, blender, sheet pan, parchment paper
HONEYBEE WEEK: June 22 at 10am – Crustless Lemon-Honey Cheesecake with Charlotte
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 1 ½ cups plain 2% Greek yogurt
- 1 cup non-fat cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup plus 1 Tbsp honey
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup arrowroot starch or cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- Supplies: large bowl, whisk or large spoon, measuring spoons/cups, 8 x 8-inch circle pan, cooking spray
June 29 at 10am: PATRIOTIC – Patriotic Poke Cake with Shanna
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 1 box white cake mix (and called for ingredients)
- 1, 3 oz. box strawberry jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 1, 3.3 oz. box white chocolate instant pudding mix
- 1, 8 oz. container cool whip, thawed
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- ½ cup blueberries
