About this Event
Join us for a weekly virtual guided meditation class and learn how to calm your mind in just a few simple steps.
In each class led by Erin Covert of the Studio for Mindfulness, we'll explore time-tested techniques and tools that you can use anytime, anyplace. Meditation has long been known for healing and restorative properties that anyone can tap into easily and effectively.
No experience necessary, all student levels welcome.
Classes are Mondays, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 7 - 7:40 p.m.
Individual classes are $20. Sign up for the month for $80, and get one class free. A portion of the proceeds supports the nonprofit Coaching Detroit Forward.
Bonus: If you register for our Meditation for Modern Times Series in September, you will get one November class free.
Tickets are nonrefundable. Attendees will be emailed a Zoom link the morning of each class. Registration closes 30 minutes before each class.
About the Instructor
Intrigued with natural healing from a young age, Erin Covert has been practicing yoga and meditation since a young person as a way to boost her mood, enhance decision-making and combat stress. She established a daily meditation routine that has grown and evolved with each new phase of her life. Being able to embrace change while managing roadblocks is something that meditation has given her the ability to do.
Erin decided to make it her mission to teach people everyday mindfulness for improving their work/life balance. Without proper stress management in the workplace, people can continue to suffer in all areas of life.
Erin holds a Master's of Art in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Massage Therapy, both from Siena Heights University. She has studied as a Meditation Instructor at the American Institute of Health Care Professionals.
