VIRTUAL FIRESIDE CHAT WITH THE FOUNDER, CEO OF M.M.LAFLEUR SARAH LAFLEUR
Event Information
About this Event
In this virtual fireside chat, learn
- What it means to find the right "product/market fit"
- How to find your customers pain points
- How to sell to them
- Why 'how you sell' is just as important as 'what you sell'
- How to keep going when the chips are down
My most important takeaway from Sarah LaFleur's story is finding product market fit.
When she first started out, she saw the success e-commerce only brands such as Warby Parker and Bonobos were enjoying. She created a line of dresses and thought the orders would soon start pouring in.
Instead, it was crickets.
She was stuck under a mountain of dresses and she didn't know how to sell them. in a moment of desperation, she and her team fielded an idea. What if they emailed customers, offered to send a box of styles. She kept the ones she liked. Returned the ones she didn't. There was no upfront monetary commitment.
M.M.LaFleur made more money in one week, than it ever had before.
Sarah found the real pain point in the market: Women wanted stylish workwear. They were just too busy to shop for it. That was the day M.M.LaFleur reconfigured their entire business model. M.M.LaFleur has changed its business model since the early days, but Sarah will speak to finding product/market fit.
My name is Joya Dass. I'm a former business news anchor. Today I head up a leadership platform for executive women and founders. In this virtual fireside chat, you will learn
- What it means to find the right "product market fit"
- How to find your customers pain points
- How to sell to them
- Why 'how you sell' is just as important as 'what you sell'
- How to keep going when the chips are down
I will chat with Sarah for the first 20 minutes about the above items. But here is where I find most events fall short: you don't have ACCESS to the expert. In my events, I introduce you by your company name and title. And you get to ask your question to the expert.
Join us on March 3rd as Sarah LaFleur, Founder and CEO of M.M.LaFleur, and mother of three shares her story.
