Event description
Learn how to use two EnviroScape models available for free from the EarthWays Center. Includes: Watershed pollution and Water Treatment.

About this Event

In this workshop, we will focus on preparing educators to borrow and use the EnviroScape models effectively in their learning environments, virtual or in-person.

The EnviroScape Watershed model is a hands-on, interactive demonstration of the sources and effects of water pollution. This model allows teachers to easily demonstrate how storm water runoff carries pollutants through the watershed to a pond, lake, river, bay, or ocean – and the best management practices to prevent this type of pollution from occurring. The overall watershed/stormwater concept is effectively communicated to all ages.

The Water Treatment model traces the path of water we use from the rivers through the water treatment plant process and back to the residential and commercial uses. Participants are captivated by the hands-on demonstration as they draw real water from the river and send it to the water treatment plant for processing.

This workshop is virtual and participants will receive a Zoom link after registration.
