About this event

Whether you're a startup or emerging company, small business, or solopreneur, branding and marketing are crucial to your success. But how do you go about conceptualizing your brand when you're focused on building a business, acquiring clients, or making a product? Where do you even start with social media? How do you get press for your company? What even is a marketing strategy? These questions are daunting for every founder—but we hope to make them a little bit easier.

In this panel discussion, we'll get the perspective of both founders and marketing specialists who understand the struggles of growing businesses: Lunar hard seltzer co-founder Kevin Wong (COM '13), social media expert Carmen Collins (CLAS '94), PR agency founder Laura Fryer (CLAS '09), and newly appointed Batten Institute Executive Director Omar Garriott (COM '02). The panel will be moderated by Hoos in Entrepreneurship co-chair and G+T Creative co-founder Allison Geller (CLAS '12). Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

Whatever stage you're at with your business or idea, we hope you'll join us!
