Event description

Description

"Sex and the Vampire: An Unforgettable Lecture with Professor Stanley Stepanic"

Today, the vampire is readily associated with sexuality and is often envisioned as the ultimate lover or perfect mate. Did the original vampire have any such association? Or was it something else entirely?

In celebration of Valentine's Day, join UVA professor Stanley Stepanic (GSAS '07, '12) for an unforgettable lecture about literary history's most romantic monster. An Associate Professor in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Stepanic has quickly become one of UVA's most beloved professors, and his now-famous Dracula course constantly tops student-generated lists of the best classes on Grounds. We hope you'll be able to join us for this stimulating discussion!

Admission includes a complimentary cocktail reception. Admission is free for members and $15.00 for non-members. Members may purchase a maximum of two tickets at the member rate. Not a member yet? Join today!

This event is #open to all alumni, parents, and friends.
