"Viral" Is Not A Plan: Getting The Most Out Of Your Social Media Resources

Have you ever been asked by your client or your boss to "Make it go viral"? While social media can be the key to finding and embracing a larger audience, banking on one good idea to make or break your campaign is a recipe for failure. Chris Noble, CEO of Causemedia Group, will cover the five (5) best practices for building a stable base in social media and show their application through case studies.
Topics will include campaign planning, ad buying, and tracking against metrics.
A technology start-up veteran of over 15 years, Chris Noble currently serves as the CEO of Causemedia Group, an engagement marketing company which includes StudioGood, What Gives?!, Kompolt, and Patron. From consulting to creative to digital and social media, Causemedia Group has run over 700 campaigns and raised more than $45 million for charity by bringing brands, celebrities, and nonprofits together. Recent work includes campaigns for Pepsi, Electrolux, eBay, UNICEF, and more. The company won Mashable's "Most Creative Social Good" Award for 2010 with their launch of Twitchange, a celebrity-fueled social media campaign featuring Alyssa Milano, Eva Longoria and more than 200 others. In addition to other honors, the company's "Beat Cancer" campaign (sponsored by Miller/Coors and PayPal) holds the Guinness World Record for most shared social media message. A frequent speaker on the brand/nonprofit partnership, Chris believes the interaction of brands and consumers for mutual social good will be a driving force in marketing and commerce for years to come.
NOTE: This event also serves as our PRSA Hawaii Chapter General Membership Meeting. Outgoing President Melissa Malahoff-Kamei will give an update on the state of the chapter and the 2013 Board of Directors will be introduced.

Due to the increased cost of doing business, reservations made via credit card will be assessed a nominal processing fee.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy:
Advance registration will close at 3 p.m. on the day prior to the event. After that, a $5 walk-in fee will apply. Due to out-of-pocket expenses incurred, there is a $5 cancellation fee for reservations made via credit card; no refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the deadline; and no- shows will be invoiced.
