Village Round Table - Serving from the Grassroots Communication Collaborati...
Event Information
Description
Networking and communication are crucial to our success in serving the Northeast Wichita/African American community. “Serving from the Grassroots” is a Capacity Building initiative designed to promote collaborative planning resulting in a collective impact for organizations working within the community. The goal is to help you increase the reach and effectiveness of your organization. In addition, there is an opportunity for you to share knowledge and skills with your peers and earn a $150 stipend for you or your organization!
The project focus is capacity building assistance and collective planning for grassroots organizations and advocates serving the Wichita African American community, particularly those living in the Northeast quadrant of the city of Wichita/Sedgwick County.
The event will include the initial development of a joint vision and mission and initial asset mapping. Organizations will be invited to select representatives from their organizations to become part of a Northeast Wichita Communications Steering Committee to develop specific community goals and related organizational outcomes to work on over the next two-year period.
In addition, you are invited/encouraged to complete a brief survey to assist our planning for capacity-building activities over the next two years. If you have not already completed it, please find the survey here: https://qtrial2017q4az1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cHkoJV3Bk7r4FjT
