Village Prenatal
Event Information
About this Event
A Village Prenatal is a sacred ritual held among women.
It is an opportunity for the pregnant women to be loved on, heard, seen, supported and touched.
It’s a sacred space for pregnant women to give voice to her dream birth and vision and share any fears that will be received with nothing but love, compassion and acceptance.
It’s a place for the other women in the circle to listen and hold space without rescuing or offering advice.
It’s an opportunity to sit in circle with pregnant women as they prepare for their walk through birth as a rite of passage.
It’s the cultivation of sisterhood, motherhood and womanhood.
~ This circle is for those who are expecting as well as any other woman, maiden, mother or croon. Please keep in mind that the focus is on the pregnant women who will do most of the speaking. The rest of us are present to listen, support, hold space and honor these mamas and their unborn babies.
~ Usually Village Prenatals include massage, belly art, listening to the babies' heartbeats with a fetoscope, sharing a meal and tea with lots of loving physical contact but due to the current state of things, we are trying our best to still honor this tradition and revillage women through the process.
