Villa de San Antonio, a premier senior living community, is excited to welcome combat photojournalist Jeremy T. Lock for a poignant event that showcases his retrospective of 21 carefully selected photographs taken during his 21 years of service as a military photojournalist. The photo collection is aptly titled Twenty-One. The photos in Lock’s collection present an intimate look inside the tragedies, celebrations and everyday realities of the battlefield and beyond. He has documented battles, disasters and everyday life in Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Haiti, Mongolia, and many other corners of the world.
Lock was named the Military Photojournalist of the Year seven times during his storied career. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for distinguished service in Iraq. His experiences as a seasoned photojournalist have led to his work being published in magazines, newspapers and books including National Geographic, Time, New York Times, The Washington Post and many others. His work has also earned multiple awards from prestigious organizations including World Press Photo, National Press Photographers Association and Oasis. This event is free and open to the public.
