Event description

Description

This season, the Franklin Institute presents Vikings: Beyond the Legend, asking: Who were the Vikings? How did they live? Now, WHYY asks: What did they eat? Join us at the American Swedish Historical Museum for an evening of Nordic-inspired food tastings crafted by Swedish chef Henrik Ringbom and chef Eric Chicaleski. Learn from the Franklin Institute’s Viking experts, view artifacts from centuries past and taste Liquid Alchemy's locally made mead and cider.

Viking-inspired food tastings - including bites such as smoked salmon on rye crackers made from burnt grains and lactofermented root vegetables and honey - will be provided by Chef Henrik Ringbom and Chef Eric Chicaleski, cider and mead samples by Liquid Alchemy and beer samples by 2SP Brewing.
