We will have a Q&A w/ Andrew about his experience in Vietnam. He will share an update on Vietnam's startup ecosystem including opportunities, challenges, and interesting startups. He also has great advice for people looking to explore startup & expansion opportunities in the region.

There will be plenty of time before and after the Q&A to meet and get to know fellow attendees. Meet fellow folks with ASEAN ties, interest, or curiosity about startup activity whether in the US or Southeast Asia.

About Andrew

Andrew Rowan is an American entrepreneur who currently lives in Hanoi, Vietnam. Prior to moving to Hanoi in 2014, Andrew lived in Ho Chi Minh City for one year where he worked as a tech consultant and plunged into Vietnam’s startup scene. As Director of GKTA Group, he established a partnership with the €11 million ($12.2 million) Finland-Vietnam Innovation Partnership Program (IPP), which accelerates growth for startups originating in Vietnam and is supported by the Governments of Vietnam and Finland until 2018. Andrew regularly collaborates on innovation initiatives in Vietnam with the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, as well as with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He holds a master’s degree in international business from Hult International Business School and his work has been featured by Tech In Asia, e27, Tech Wire Asia and BBC Radio 4’s Today program.
