Event description

Description

VIDON's Space Exploration wine series has been a local favorite and this special dinner just so happens to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing. Join us at The Barberry when Executive Chef Daniel Mondok has paired these incredibly special wines with a beautiful culinary experience for you and your guests to enjoy. Don Hagge will be telling stories of Mission Control and be sharing his amazing wines with you.

A particle physicist by training, Don E Hagge, PhD, spent most of his career in the technology industry, first as a NASA scientist with the Apollo Space Program and then in the nascent Silicon Valley. His final technology job brought him to Oregon, where, as a retirement project, he decided to combine his boyhood experiences on the family farm with a love of wine that first took root as a postdoctoral researcher in France. He and Vicki purchased an unimproved piece of Chehalem Mountains hillside in 1999 and began what is now VIDON Vineyard.
