Video Game Basics Camp: Make & Play (grades 6-8)
Event Information
About this event
What makes a game fun? Learn the basics of creating games and make a bunch of your own as you go! You’ll get to try different ways to design and code your games. Play games from throughout history to see what makes a game good. You’ll try your hand at games using pen and paper; games with no graphics, just text; and retro-style 8-bit games from early consoles. Video Game Basics is a great start for anyone who likes games or is an aspiring game creator. It’s also the perfect lead-in to our more advanced Game Design Camp.
