Commit to the 40 hours training over the next three weeks to becoming and Alternative to Violence Advocate. There are multiple roles in which the advocate team increases the presence of ATV in the community. School support, safehouse responder, court educators, and general victim advocates, this training will provide you with the competencies necessary to help victims of crime become survivors through education and empowerment.
Must pass a criminal background check and be able to attend all sessions. Trainees are allowed to miss no more than two of the training sessions and must let the Volunteer Coordinator know ahead of time. Missed sessions will need to be made up to satisfy the required 40 hours in order to graduate as an advocate.
I look forward to having you join our team this year as we move forward with the opening of the Loveland Safehouse.
