Event description
Come hear how young people overcome barriers to work, and how youth employment actors make changes to support youth to achieve their goals!

About this event

Would you like to expand your knowledge on how young people are overcoming barriers to secure work? Have you ever wondered how vocational training institutions are providing support to help prepare young people on their journey or how all the myriad of actors in the youth employment ecosystem can engage with each other to provide clear pathways? Join the Via Webinar series to learn more!

As the Via: Pathways to Work program comes to a close, we have the opportunity to share comparative experiences, best practices, and stakeholder insights from Mozambique and Tanzania. Whether common approaches or unique contextual challenges, webinar panelists will provide learnings and insights for those working in and for youth development, TVET institutions, and systemic change. From 2015-2021, Via engaged TVET institutions and entrepreneurship partners in Tanzania and Mozambique to expand services to include quality work-readiness life skills and career guidance, strengthening partner capacity and ecosystems to better serve the 500,000 young people these institutions reach each year. Check out the Via: Pathways to Work website here.

The series will provide an exploration of TVET ecosystems with sessions taking a deep-dive into youth-level, institutional-level, and system-level learning. Each session will include a short presentation on learnings and a moderated discussion between panelists. You can register for one or multiple sessions at registration.
