We have a great line up of workshops hosted at the Vermont Food Venture Center and created in partnership with the Vermont Small Business Development Center.
Join us every Third Thursday at the VFVC, where Heidi Krantz, Small Business Consultant from the VtSBDC will presents a variety of useful and energetic workshops for your small business and value added producer needs.

March 21– Food Labeling for Producers
Instructed by Londa Nwadike, Food Safety Specialist from UVM Extension- State and federal food labeling requirements can be very confusing for food producers and processors. This seminar will help clarify regulations for the food products most commonly sold by Vermont food producers and processors.
April 18– Retailer/Producer Gathering
An opportunity to meet with your retailing partners to share information about consumer trends and interests, product pricing, placement and marketing and more! Come meet your partners in sales!
May 16– Marketing with Social Media
Tips and techniques for using this dynamic tool without being overwhelmed! Hands on – so bring a lap top if possible – and practical.
June 20– Financing Round Table
Meet with members of the financial community including bankers, grantors and other lenders to learn how to prepare for a loan request or to seek investors. If you need capital, join us to learn some tips for successful proposal development.

The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE), located in Hardwick, Vermont, is dedicated to building a regenerative, locally based, healthy food system by engaging the greater Hardwick community through collaboration opportunities, educational outreach and providing infrastructure.
We operate the Vermont Food Venture Center, a multi-use processing facility in Hardwick, VT that provides equipment, technical and business support for specialty food and minimal processing as well as co-packing services.
