Calling all Utah military and Veteran families! We're so thankful for you and we are showing our gratitude with this special event.

About this event

To show our gratitude, Blue Star Families of Utah, Feed the Children, the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, and Discover have joined forces to host a special drive-through food and hygiene kit distribution event just for you and your family.

Active-duty, Guard, and Reserve military, Veterans, and their families serving right here in Utah are invited to stop by and receive* a box containing roughly one week’s worth of food, hygiene, and household items (approximately a $200 value). Strict limit of one set of items per household only.

Families will also receive additional gifts…

  • A Smith’s Grocery gift card to help supplement their Thanksgiving Meal with fresh ingredients, thanks to our partners at Discover.
  • And... other surprises provided by Blue Star Families

It is important to note that these items will likely not constitute a full Thanksgiving meal and are only intended to help supplement, not replace.

Additional details, including a map of the area for pickup, will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

This event is also open to all caregivers and Gold Star families. If you're a Veteran caregiver, you may register to pick up a box on behalf of your Veteran. Additional details will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

  • *This is a drive-through food distribution event where advanced registration is required due to a limited supply of resources. Be one of the first 400 registrants to participate!
  • Please note that the food items we receive can vary, please do not make changes to your grocery budget until you receive the items and see what is included.
  • Due to the limited number of boxes we can distribute, this event is limited to one per family/household only. Duplicate registrations will be removed.
  • The occurrence of this event at the North Salt Lake Armory does not constitute nor imply endorsement by the State of Utah or the Department of Defense.
