Event description

Description

On Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 5pm a Veteran's Vigil & Luminary Ceremony will be held to honor all Veterans, especially those so close to home in our Wolcott Community. The event will serve to promote the GREEN LIGHT A VET Advocacy Campaign and encourage individuals to keep a green light lit year round at home and/or the office. The ceremony will also include a special presentation by SPP Vocal Students and support from Mayor Thomas Dunn, Senator Joe Markly, and Representative Rob Sampson. We will give thanks to our Servicemen and Service Women who continue to fight for our freedoms and to keep us safe. Luminaries will mark this special occasion and may be purchased and personalized to light up the Wolcott Town Green that evening. All names and supporters will be read aloud during the ceremony. Please provide that information below. We pledge our support and respect for the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much. Proceeds from this year's luminary sales will benefit the Wolcott VFW Post 1979 and The Patriots' Day Initiative.

Please note in the event of inclement weather on November 9th, the program and youth performances will be moved inside Wolcott Town Hall.
