Event description
Want to start a business and have no clue where to begin? This seminar is for you! Successful Vet-Biz Owners teach and share their stories!

About this Event

V.E.T.S (Veterans Entrepreneur Training Seminar) was created to help inspire Veterans or anyone wishing to become a business owner. All are welcome.

Many Veterans getting out, retiring, and starting their own business have a great desire to be successful, but they may not have the skills, knowledge, and civilian and veteran resources they need to navigate the business world.

V.E.T.S will have onstage SEVEN successful Veteran-owned or Veteran-led business leaders who will each deliver a 15–20-minute presentation about their business. Each speaker is a successful entrepreneur amassing over $1M in sales while also creating a multi-national brand. Sharing their stories of success and failures will guide the audience on the right path to their business victories. There will be an interactive session for audience questions to be answered by the panel of speakers.

Face masks are optional, but not required.

Philanthropy: A portion of ticket and event shirt sales will be donated to the following charities, as well as a charity of each speaker’s choice:

• Axios Inspires Foundation

• Freedom Foundation

• Forging Forward Foundation

CHAD: served in the United States Army as a Bearded Soldier during several Combat Rotations. He retired after 20 years of service.

He owns Kraken-Skulls, a men’s beard care company, and Woobie Hoodie Apparel Company that has grown into a household name with celebrities and sports stars.

Chad says: Grooming was secondary to the masculine pursuits of feats of strength, displays of courage, mastery of craft, and the preservation of honor forged through the rigors of competition, validated through the rites of passage, and tested in the arena of combat all the while earning the esteem from a tribe of like-minded men. I am not perfect, and neither are you, let's work on it together.

KRAKEN-SKULLS is where the savage brute meets the refined gentleman!

MIKE EVOCK: Chief Warrant Officer Evock is a combat veteran, involved with the Special Forces community for over 16 years.

Evock’s career includes 82nd Airborne Division, Special Forces as an 18B Weapons Sergeant, and from 1994-2009, he trained, instructed, commanded, and executed various missions as a Green Beret both in the United States and abroad. During this time, he achieved his Warrant Officer ranking. He was intimately involved with sensitive combat missions, crisis response teams, counter-terrorism missions, and more, and continues to instruct and perform important missions in the civilian world today.

Evock is the CEO of Racing for Heroes, a non-profit organization that provides the veteran community with a new mission, purpose, and place to belong through Motorsports Therapy. Through the organization’s participation in research studies, it has been shown that the excitement and adrenaline of racing help veterans with Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries by improving neurological and emotional connections damaged by trauma.

Racing for Heroes' health and wellness programs support veterans ready to find alternatives to addictive drugs and self-medication to produce a positive outcome to the challenges they face in civilian life.

DAN FIELDING: Fielding is one of the very few to have become an elite Special Forces Green Beret.

He is an author, selling millions of the Amazon Best Seller book, The Asset Mindset. The book describes his time in the Special Forces and how he used the power of his mind to be his strongest weapon in and out of the military.

Throughout his life, Fielding developed and created The Asset Mindset philosophy to create success in life. How did he do this and why does he believe so strongly in The Asset Mindset? Having been born in the mid-1970s, Fielding grew up to learn about life day-to-day and year-by-year through his experiences. As he aged, he began to realize he was creating a certain mindset and noticed themes in his life to promote positive experiences.

After completion of active duty, Ruwe moved to Arizona, attending Arizona State University. He and his partner John Hendle, after seeing so many veterans with no permanent housing on the street, realized the veteran homeless crisis is real and in need of solutions. The combination of Ruwe’s ambition for soap and Hendle’s desire to help these veterans sparked Hero Soap Company to be created.

Each bar of soap is handmade in Phoenix, AZ, with all ingredients and clothing sold sourced from companies in the USA. Philanthropically-minded, a portion of sales is donated back to charities that are focused on helping veterans and first responders.
