The Veterans Art Project continues to offer fee free bronze casting and ceramic classes. Classes are intended as a ongoing documentation of America's Veteran, active duty and spouses. By exposing the Veterans population to art making techniques we expand the dialogue between the military and civilian population. Initial face casting is completed at the VMBP, casting is done with direct skin contact using alginate, from this negative mold is used to create a wax positive. This wax positive is used for the lost wax process. This culmintes with participants be involved in the whole process in completing their own hot pour bronze likeness. This process is ancient and timely. The Veterans Art Project seeks to help our war fighters re-connect with their families and the civilian population. Classes are free and on-going.
