Alexandra Lauer
Alexandra Lauer is a Senior Principal Statistical Analyst at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, with a background in mathematics. She specializes in bridging psychometrics and biostatistics, with a primary focus on Health-Related Quality of Life evaluations. Alex is an R enthusiast, co-leading the Merck-internal R User Group.
Irene Vassallo is a senior statistician at Incyte and has been programming in R for over 10 years. She has a multi-disciplinary background coming from cancer molecular biology and later moving into statistics. Her interest is in using R programming for clinical research focusing on reproducibility and validation.
Christina Fillmore formally trained as a statistician, but over her 5 years at GSK transitioned into a data scientist. With a keen interest in R, she joined the PSI AIMS SIG in 2019. She maintains the metacore and metatools R packages. Her focus is on open source package development in a regulated environment.
Lyn Taylor is an Associate Director Biostatistics at PAREXEL and has worked in medical research for over 22 years, mostly for CROs, in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. In 2014, Lyn obtained her Ph.D. in Statistical Modelling of Markers of Severity in Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is where her experience in programming in R began. Since then Lyn has been chair of the PSI AIMS SIG, been on the executive committee for the R Validation Hub Project and is now leading the PHUSE CAMIS project.
