Event description

Description

Every spring, amphibians of all kinds emerge from hibernation to flock to vernal pools to lay eggs in these mostly predator-free waters. Striar Conservancy has a number of these important habitat types to explore. Join Wetlands Scientists Carlos Fragata and Nicholas Shuler and Wildlands Trust Volunteer Rob MacDonald for a guided night hike at Striar this April. We’ll be looking and listening for signs of amphibian life awakening from their long winter slumber.

Waterproof boots and head lamps are required. All ages. Dogs will not be allowed at this program.

Rain or shine.
