Vernal Pool Exploration: Sebastopol Meadowfoam at the Laguna Trail
Event Information
About this Event
Join us to look for a reintroduced population of rare Sebastopol Meadowfoam in vernal pools this spring! Our restoration team saw hundreds of blooms return to the Laguna last spring after we planted the area with seeds from our native plant nursery - but will the dry winter conditions prevent flowering? We will also discover other botanical delights of vernal pools, talk about ongoing restoration efforts on this land, and brush up on our flower identification skills along the way.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an in-person outing. All in-person events follow current Sonoma County health orders and guidelines for group activities to keep everyone safe during COVID-19. Masks and social distancing will be required and participants will have their temperature checked upon arrival. This event will be limited to 10 participants per current group gathering requirements. Finally, please let us know in advance if you can no longer attend so we can offer a spot to someone on the waitlist.
There is no charge for this outing, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
