Vermont Watercolor Society Awards Show

The Gallery at Mad River Valley Arts is hosting a reception for the Vermont Watercolor Society awards show Sunday, October 23rd, 3:00-5:00 PM, 5031 Main Street, Waitsfield, VT (802)-496-6682. The show continues in the Gallery Wednesdays-Saturdays 1:00-5:00 or by appointment. Thirteen awards will be presented, Best in Show, First Place, Second Place and Third Place. There are 5 awards of Excellence in the following categories, Landscape, Still Life, Abstract, Figurative and Animal/Wildlife. There are 4 Donor Awards: The Whittier Memorial Award (for realism in watercolor), The Dorothy Yoder Memorial Award (for innovative & experimental technique) and the Selin & Selin Award and Moosewalk Studios Award, which are open for the juror to assign. The awards juror is the nationally acclaimed watercolor artist Antonio Mass, the President of the American Watercolor Society. The awards will be announced at the reception. As this will be the announcement of who is receiving an award, many of the artists may be in attendance. MRVARTS is pleased to be the most for this event.
