COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL
This conference will provide current updates for diagnosis and treatment of TB infection as well as TB disease, current epidemiological trends in TB and collaboration of TB care. The format will include lectures with questions and answers and case studies. It will also promote networking among colleagues, resource sharing and collaborations with partnering agencies.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference is open to physicians, nurses, epidemiologists, researchers as well as other health professionals who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB infection or disease.
Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:
• Recognize the current epidemiological trends in TB at the national and local level
• Integrate appropriate risk-based screening, testing methods, and treatment options for latent TB infection
• Apply current recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of TB disease to ensure successful outcomes
• Develop strategies to strengthen partnerships for the coordination of TB care and prevention efforts

CE Credits will be offered for this conference.
CME: Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CNE: This activity is awarded 5.5 contact hours (60 minute CH).
LOCATION AND PARKING INFORMATION
All participants must bring valid identification to enter Edward J. Costello Courthouse. Please allow for a few extra minutes to clear security in order to enter the building. Please note, free parking is limited, but multiple pay lots and meter spaces are available near the conference facility.
Please register by May 1, 2017. There is no registration fee for the conference. Lunch will be provided at the conference. Please state your dietary preference while registering. If you are unanble to attend, please inform us at your earliest so that we can accomodate participants who are on the waitlist.
