Veritiss is Hosting Its 3rd Annual (Free) Small Business Matchmaking Forum at the Reston Community Center, May 14, 2019, 9:00am - 3:00pm

This year’s theme is: Teaming, Partnering and Anti-Human Trafficking FAR Compliance!

Registration: Register your company and pair your business with government agencies and large businesses for 15-minute matchmaking sessions, between 9:45am - 3:00pm, with representatives from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), and large business representatives from ManTech, SOSI, WWT and recently added, The Buffalo Group. Companies are limited to one (1) registrant and two (2) matchmaking timeslots. Seating is limited to registered companies only. Simply register, select two (2) appointments only, and then select check-out.

Keynote Speaker: Ms. Amy Groff, from the law firm of K&L Gates, will provide valuable information on the new Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause regarding compliance requirements on human trafficking prevention. She is active in the firm’s global ethical supply chain group, focused on mitigating corporate risks associated with human trafficking, forced labor, and child labor. She will provide timely, practical advice on the human trafficking employment issue. She has also worked as an investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, enforcing federal laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act and prevailing wage statutes for government contracts. She is the recipient of the Secretary of Labor’s Exceptional Achievement Award.

Breakout Session Presentations:

10:00-11:00 - Mike O’Grady from Union Bank on M&As and bank financing.

11:30-12:30 - Walt Abbott from SCORE will provide information on free services they provide small businesses.

12:30-13:30 - Laurie McIntosh from SHRM will lead a presentation on services and and advantages they provide to "HR Departments of One" at small businesses.

Meals: Coffee, pastries, box lunches and drinks will be provided free of charge.
