Description

MADE 4 the Holidays Arts, Crafts, & Pottery Shows on Sunday, November 10 and December 8, 2019, are the largest Triad-based, North Carolina artisan only event in the area. There will be a wide variety of handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber art, fine art, packaged artisan foods at this historic farmer’s market that houses over 100 vendors and artists.

THIS EVENT IS FOR VENDOR REGISTRATION ONLY! Registration is open until October 1, 2019. Early bird tickets for customers will be offered on our Eventbrite at a later date. Vendors must select an jury application and table size as well as submitting photos by email to complete their application.

If interested in attending both shows please purchase table tickets for each show individually. If the same products will be sold at both shows only purchase the jury fee ticket on one event.

What's the refund policy?

After booth fees are paid, applicants are entitled to the following refund of booth fees ONLY upon cancellation:

· At least two weeks before the event prior to 5 pm: 50% refund

· After 5:00 pm two weeks before the event: No refund

All revenues received from vendors for this event are used to cover planning, promotional, and operational costs. If the vendor application is incomplete or not accepted all fees minus the jury fee will be returned.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. You will simply check-in with event leader.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No. Accepted exhibitors may not transfer the use of his/her space to another artist.

What are the fees for this event?

$15 jury fee per media (non-refundable, limit 3).

$40 half table (5 x 3)

$80 full table (10 x 3) - limit 1 full table total per vendor, per show

•All fees must be included with the completed application as well as submitted pictures.

•The jury fee is nonrefundable. The space fee will be returned if you are not accepted into the show.

How do I apply?

•Each artist wishing to participate must submit an application via Eventbrite. Joint applications will not be accepted.

•Applicants may select a maximum of three (3) mediums. There is a $15 jury fee per medium.

•Please submit at least 3 high-resolution photographs of your work to gfmarketevents@gmail.com, titling your email and photos as ‘YourName HolidayM4M2019’. You may include a link to your social media website.

An application will not be reviewed without photos. Photos must be submitted by the application deadline. Any application not completed fully with be refunded the tablespace fee, but not the application fee.

•Payment will be accepted via Eventbrite registration.

•Acceptance not guaranteed based on participation in previous events at this facility.

•Applications will be accepted through October 1, 2019, at 5:00 pm. No late applications will be accepted. Acceptance will be sent on a rolling basis.

Basic information:

•ALL WORK MUST BE HANDMADE BY THE APPLYING ARTISTS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

•Tables provided are approximately 10' wide x 3' deep (full table) and 5' wide x 3' deep (half table). Exhibitors must provide all necessary display equipment, stools for seating, electric cords, etc.

• No manufactured goods or imports. No exceptions.

• No work produced with commercial kits, molds, patterns, plans, or prefabricated forms. Products made using molds that utilize molds made by the artist are allowed.

● Management reserves the right to remove from the show without refund any exhibit or portion of an exhibit that is not comparable to the submitted images. Works displayed for sale must be consistent with the images submitted with the application.

● Management may also remove any item being exhibited that is not produced by the artist.

● No "sale", "show special", or “discount” signs allowed.

● In the event of cancellations, artists will be pulled from a ranked waiting list. This will take place all the way to the morning of the event.

● Submission of a completed application indicates applicant's agreement and acknowledgment to these guidelines.

● Greensboro Farmers Market, Inc. reserves the right to bar participants from future shows if these guidelines are not followed.

●All accepted exhibitors will receive an Event Acceptance Information email containing event day set-up, check-in, map, parking, etc.

How are exhibitors selected?

● Applications will be reviewed by a committee of market management and knowledgeable volunteers.

● All applicants will be reviewed for quality of products and display appearance.

● Criteria are based on a need to maintain a balanced show that represents artists from all media categories.

● The committee will accept artists after a thorough review of all applications.

● All decisions of the committee are final.

● Acceptance to one show does not guarantee acceptance to future shows.

The following media categories will be accepted:

All work must be the original work of the artists. Items made from manufactured kits purchased for resale will be removed from display and the artist will not be invited to return for another show. Select the types of media by selecting the ticket that corresponds with your products.

 CANDLES - handcrafted candles of all types made by the artist

 LEATHER - includes hats, handbags, belts, and other items tooled from leather by the artist

 PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS - handcrafted soap, lotions, bath salts, etc.

 FIBER (ART) - wearable

 GARDEN ART

 GLASS - blown, fused or stained

 PAINTING - decorative or fine art

 JEWELRY - bracelets, necklaces and rings made by the artist; beaded, metalsmith

 METAL WORK- forged or altered by the artist

 MIXED MEDIA - combining more than one media and/or technique to create a single product

 PHOTOGRAPHY - taken and printed by the artist

 CULINARY ART – candies, baked goods, sauces, mixes, wines (preferrably shelf stable for all products)

WOODWORKING - anything made from wood; wood turning, carving, etc.
