Description

Being Your Own Therapist — The Essence of Buddhism
A Weekend Retreat with Ven. Robina Courtin
Day 1 — Diagnosing Your Emotional Problems
Day 2 — Applying The Buddha’s Methods

This two-day retreat with Venerable Robina Courtin will be an opportunity to learn about the Buddhist view on the root causes of our emotional problems, and the practical methods taught by the Buddha for transforming them. All are welcome to be part of a weekend retreat with one of today's most clear, powerful teachers in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

Ordained since the late 1970s, Ven. Robina has worked full time since then for Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche's FPMT. Over the years she has served as editorial director of Wisdom Publications, editor of Mandala Magazine, executive director of Liberation Prison Project, and as a touring teacher of Buddhism. Her life and work with prisoners have been featured in the documentary films Chasing Buddha and Key to Freedom.
> About Ven. Robina

In addition to the teachings with Venerable Robina the retreat will take place in a Texas Hill Country setting with many opportunities to visit with other participants under the shade of the oak trees, share meals under the bistro lights in the picnic area, and engage in personal reflection and practice in the Center's huge 26-ft. Dharma TIpi—a fantastic space for personal practice. At night we'll show outdoor Dharma movies on the jumbo 17-ft. screen and relax on lawn chairs under the stars. > About Our Center
