Event description
Celebrate Veganuary at our Vegan Street Food fest! Vegan Food & Drinks PLUS Live Music,Talks, Wellness Workshops & a Whole Lotta Vegan Love!

About this Event

Join us this January in Celebrating Veganism + So Much More at our Conscious Living Experience!

After the whirlwind of Christmas, January is time to detox, realign and look forward to the year ahead with new-found resolve.

Here at The Boiler House we celebrate veganism 365 days a year but January is a particularly important month for us as it gives us the opportunity to reach new audiences outside of our echo chamber and show them just how frikkin' awesome London's plant-based community is!

Creating a more sustainable future requires a 360 view of all the complex difficulties we're facing today as a global community, and that's why we're celebrating Veganuary+ at The Boiler House this year. The '+' symbolizes our holistic approach to Conscious Living, which includes choosing a plant-based diet, but extends also to choosing a more environmentally conscious way of life that addresses the ecological, economical and humanitarian challenges we are facing today.

Plant-Based Street Food Fest - our awesome street food trader community will be taking over the ground floor, offering a plethora or delicious vegan street food delights! (Trader updates TBA, stay tuned!)

The Boiler House Bar - we'll be  there too serving our banging conscious cocktails, mocktails, vegan mulled wine (oh yes, we're not stopping the mulled wine just because xmas ended), CBD soft drinks and hot drinks all day.

Plenty of options for those braving a dry January!

Sunday 19th at 1pm - Sherika Sherard

Through songwriting Sherika vows to encourage the conversations that make us vulnerable. From charming one liners to heart-felt confessions Sherika uncovers our complex journeys through a celebration of acceptance and continuously warms the hearts of her listeners. Born and raised in South London, it was after listening to Marvin Gaye Sherika came to realise she also wanted to discover her deepest emotions through performance and songwriting.

Last year British Soul Singer Seal suprised Sherika with a visit while she was busking on the Southbank, they performed two duets and Seal went on to invite her to open for 2 of his shows at Old Royal Naval College (London) and Cirque Royal (Brussels). This year Legendary Film director Spike Lee also showed his appreciation for Sherika’s talent by personally picking her original song “We Don’t Need a Reason” to feature of his Netflix Series of “She’s Gotta Have it”.

After independently releasing her Album “Just Saying” and this years E.P “Patience and Fears” Sherika is focused on her next move; to release and self produce her up and coming releases. She is a clear example of how the industry has changed, with a strong connection to her fans and regularly performing and interacting with new ones, she has become a personality people can relate to.

Check out her incredible TedX performance here!

Sunday 26th at 1pm - Rosie Ash

Rosie Ash is a singer-songwriter and busker living in East London. Having started out as a classical multi-instrumentalist on harp and violin, she now plays across London as a solo artist.

Recently, she has released her debut single 'black+blue' by Rosie Ash that can be found on all online platforms (Spotify, Apple Music etc.), debuted the music video with a live single launch and had her music featured at the Tate Britain as part of Wired4music's London Takeover. She has also been featured as part of Alpha Sessions Tenth Anniversary Celebrations (videos to be released in the coming weeks). Previously, she was selected as a songwriting finalist for Busk In London's gigs competition 2017 and featured by Reserved Fashion as part of their 'I Can Boogie' campaign.

Currently, she is playing frequent gigs across London by night and working on her next single from the EP 'baby, carry on'. Her music is a mix of folk and pop, often with a narrative or story to tell, with songs written on guitar, piano, ukulele and on occasion with a full orchestra…

Join us for a very special performance from Rosie as she goes back to her busker roots, stripped back to her guitar and her mesmerizing vocals at The Boiler House this Veganuary!

Keeping Sherika and Rosie company, resident DJ Hendry will be stationed on the ones and twos throughout the weekend, playing his eclectic mix of coveted records from funk & soul to house, hip hop, electronica and more...
