VEGANIZER PDX: NOV 24 HARVEST CELEBRATION

For our final event of 2018, Veganizer PDX is thrilled to bring you a harvest feast celebrating the wonderful flavors of the season. This popup is different from our #officiallyveganized events at omnivore restuarants as we are teaming with Chef Salimatu Amabebe for an exquisite 5-course vegan tasting menu in the beautiful space at Tournant!

Your $65 ticket includes 5-courses plus gratuity. Beverages may be purchased separately at Tournant.


TASTING MENU

Warm Beet Salad
Slow-cooked beets and red onions served on a bed of fresh arugula with lemon and black pepper

Garlic Leek and Onion Soup
A creamy garlic, leek and onion soup with spiced tempeh mushroom crumble and fresh chives
*contains almond milk

Stuffed Delicata Squash Rounds with Mushroom Gravy
Delicata squash rounds stuffed with shaved brussels sprouts and topped with a warm mushroom gravy

Savory Chickpea Pancakes with Roasted Cauliflower and Sage Aioli
Warm chickpea pancakes drizzled with olive oil and topped with roasted cauliflower, cherry tomatoes and sage aioli

Palm Cream Cheesecake with Maple Coconut Cream
A creamy cashew and coconut cheesecake made with palm nut cream and topped with maple coconut whipped cream

CHEF SALIMATU AMABEBE

Salimatu Amabebe is a vegan chef and owner of the recipe blog and catering company Bliss House. Salimatu hosts cooking workshops, art events, monthly vegan Nigerian pop-up dinners and is the creator of Black Feast, a pop-up dinner series that celebrates the literary work of black authors.

Veganizer is a plant-based food consulting and marketing agency. We collaborate with omnivore restaurants, offering an opportunity to get creative in the kitchen and expand the vegan options on their menus, while bridging the gap between the vegan customer and non-vegan establishments.

Lead by veggie food + lifestyle blogger, Waz Wu, the Portland chapter has collaborated with MF Tasty, SouthFork, Red Sauce Pizza, Quaintrelle, Feastly, and more. We're honored to have been featured on KGW News, Eater PDX, and local podcasts since our launch in early 2017.
