Vegan Wellness Conference

The Compassion Consortium and the Pittsburgh Vegan Society are happy to be co-hosting the Vegan Wellness Conference (VWC), which will be occurring on January 29 from 2 to 6 PM Eastern Time!

With a focus on spirituality, creativity, emotional wellness, and intersectional social justice dimensions of veganism, the VWC will occur totally online and will be completely free to attend!

2-2:25 Keynote Speakers Judy Carman with the Interfaith Vegan Coalition and Lisa Levinson with In Defense of Animals. "Mothering Mother Earth Through Vegan Spirituality: Joyful, Well-fed, and Free."

2:30-3:10 Workshop A: Trauma & Food presented by Jacque Salomon with Seeds to Inspire with colleagues Dr. Davis and Marc Anderson.

3:15-3:55 Workshop B: Coping with the Social and Emotional Challenges of Being Vegan presented by Valerie Martin with colleagues Meredith Marin with Vegan Hospitality, Jenn Friedman and Taylor Wolfram.

4:00-4:40 Workshop C: Veganism & Creative Sustainability presented by Cammie Brady with the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse.

4:45-5:25 Workshop D: Radical Compassion & the Soul presented by Victoria Moran & Reverend William Melton with the Compassion Consortium.

5:30-6 Closing Remarks by Lisa DeCrescente on the power of unity, empowerment, and being effective ambassadors for veganism.
