Event description

Description

True Nature is honored to welcome back Arlindo Moraes for a 6 day Vedanta seminar on the Crest Jewel of Discrimination, Viveka Chudamani. An important text by 8th century, Vedantic luminar, Adi Shakaracharya.

The Vivekachudamani, literally "The Crest-Jewel of Discrimination," is perhaps the most famous non-commentarial work of Sankara that expounds the essence of Vedanta. Adi-Shankara describes the development and exercise of ‘Viveka’, the human faculty of discrimination between real (unchanging, eternal) and unreal (changing, temporal). Viveka is considered to be the central task in one’s spiritual life. It is indeed the most precious and essential jewel among the fundamental Vedanta teachings on self-knowledge and Moksha.

This event will be available to you globally, live-streamed via the web but we hope you will consider joining us in Carbondale, CO at True Nature Healing Arts - an intentional sanctuary for inspiration, connect and self-discovery. Visit www.truenaturehealingarts.com to learn more.

Arlindo teaches Vedanta under the guidance and lineage of James Swartz, affectionately known as Ramji. His style of teaching is gentle, simple, clear and direct. Arlindo was born in Brazil and in his twenties became a devotee of Osho, and later was influenced by the teachings of H.W. L. Poonja (Papaji), Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj. After many years of deep soul-searching, meditation and contemplation, he has realized his true nature and began to offer Satsang to his friends in Olympia, WA. However, it wasn’t until he found his dearest teacher and Vedanta, that he knew he had found a whole and complete body of knowledge to actualize his self-realization. In the past two years, the style of his talks has also been influenced by the teachings of Swami Paramarthananda.
