The 13th Annual Local Programs Workshop will be held September 16 - 18, 2025 at Hilton Norfolk The Main, in Norfolk, Virginia. This annual workshop provides an excellent learning and networking opportunity to discuss the delivery of the local transportation program.
The Local Programs Workshop provides an overview of VDOT’s local administration program and training for program management and project development. The Workshop will feature mobile workshops, plenary sessions, and 20 breakout sessions scheduled in four concurrent tracks over the two-day and half workshop. This Workshop is designed to support local public agency staff who have oversight of locally administered projects or work with projects receiving special funding from VDOT, as well as consultants and VDOT staff who are involved in the delivery of locally administered projects.

Refund Policy
Requests for refunds will be honored when received by August 28, 2025. A $50 administrative fee will be deducted for any cancellation. Another person may be substituted at any time for this program for free. The attendee is responsible for canceling their hotel reservation 48 hours prior to the scheduled hotel check-in date.
In the unlikely event that this program is canceled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, we will fully refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
Sponsorship Information
This Workshop will be an excellent learning and networking experience for both the public and private sectors. A limited number of sponsorships will be available to the private sector at five levels: Workshop Experience ($5,000), Platinum ($5,000), Gold ($3,500), Silver ($2,000), and Bronze ($1,000). All sponsors receive one complementary registration, exhibit hall space, logo placement, special Whova event app access, and recognition during the plenary sessions.
