Mon, May 8, 2017, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
Please join us on May 8th for our next storytelling event for Post-9/11 Veterans. This time, we will be at Spoonwood Brewing Company!
The mission of the Veterans Breakfast Club is to create communities of listening around veterans and their stories to ensure that this living history will never be forgotten. We believe that through our work, people will be educated, healed, and inspired.
Free food (Pepperoni and Margherita Pizza's, Pulled Pork Sliders,Sausage/Cheese Platters, Hummus & Chips and More) and two free drinks (Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider or Non-Alcoholic Beverages) then cash bar.
This event is being sponsored and hosted by The Shah-nini George Foundation. The foundation was established in honor of Shah-nini George, an immigrant from Lebanon who was a 3rd class passenger on the Titanic, barely surviving that maiden voyage. Her family founded Joy Cone Co., headquartered in western PA, which is the world’s largest producer of ice cream cones. The purpose of the foundation is to support animal and children's causes, and to honor and recognize military veterans.
