Vashon Havurah is thrilled to welcome the entire island community to celebrate with us!

About this event

Vashon Havurah is thrilled to invite the community back for our second annual community bash and fundraiser!

Come dance and shmooze on the Havurah lawn to the musical beats of Island band Croaker, featuring our own Kim Thal, who will treat us to a mix of Klezmer and Bluegrass music! We will again have Iyad and Safa's Syrian food truck on site, lots of other nibbles and treats, and a no-host bar. We will have a bunch of lawn games set up and a sprinkler for the kids too!

Whether a member of the Havurah or not, we warmly welcome the whole Vashon community to join us in the festivities.

In addition to your entrance fee, we ask every attendee to bring something to donate to the silent auction. We will have tables set up at the entrance, so when you arrive, you can place your item or description of an experience on the table. We will have forms for you to fill out in advance, or right there on site.

Tickets are $12 per adult in advance and $15 at the event. Children under 13 are free.

Please join us for the joyous occasion!

Croaker makes acoustic music with new-grass attitude, old-time instruments and bad-ass bass lines. On a good night, traditional tunes keep company with classic rock favorites and improvised gems. The band brings a wide rage of influences to bear when interpreting existing music or writing their own songs. Jazz, cajun and klezmer music are all part of the mix. This seasoned quartet includes Steve Meyer on bass, Kim Thal on violin, Eric Frith on guitar and banjo, and Andre Sapp on mandolin and guitar. As Pink Floyd once said, “Blind Faith is better with a dash of Sugaree”

Croaker will be joined by guest musician Max Gross Shaderon on clarinet and saxophone.
