This year's guest lineup spotlights some of the best talent offered in Southern California:

Andrew York is one of today's best loved composers for classical guitar and a performer of international stature. His compositions blend the styles of ancient eras with modern musical directions, creating music that is at once vital, multi-leveled and accessible. Andrew received a GRAMMY as a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet during his sixteen years with the cutting-edge ensemble. York’s compositions have been featured on GRAMMY-winning recordings by Jason Vieaux (CD “Play”, featuring Andrew’s iconic composition “Sunburst”, 2015) and Sharon Isbin (CD “Journey to the New World” featuring “Andecy”, 2010). In 2006 Andrew recorded and performed with the Atlanta Symphony for the opera “Ainadamar” by Osvaldo Golijov. The recording of “Ainadamar” (Deutsche Gramophone) won two GRAMMY awards.

Chuck Hulihan has enjoyed a vast career over the past twenty years as a  performer, educator, conductor, narrator, arts administrator, and as a classical music radio host. Chuck has Directed the Guitar Program at Glendale Community College since 1999, where he is the Assistant Department Chair for Performing Arts, and serves on the Arts Advisory Board for the Maricopa Community College District. In January of 2015 Chuck was chosen by his peers to receive the GCC Gaucho Globe Award for Supporting Student Success.

Federico Núñez is a Post-Graduate Coordinator and Professor in Composition at the University of Arts. Coordinator of Composition major and teacher of Composition and Guitar (“Manuel de Falla” Conservatory of Buenos Aires). He has been invited to perform as a soloist and teacher at the XIX Festival della Chitarra Caroso (Italia); Contest and International Festival “Ramón Noble” (México); III “Identidades” Festival (Cuba, with Ibermúsicas sponsorship); International Clarinets meeting of Montevideo (Uruguay, with J. F. Bescond); OCMA Orchestra (Paraguay); MEC Educative Radio and Río de Janeiro TV television, Parbeszedhaza Church (Hungary) and Santiago International Guitar Festival of Santiago (Chile).

During his undergraduate studies, the successful participation in classical guitar events in Brazil resulted in important opportunities, including performances as a soloist with the Recife Symphony Orchestra, Pernambuco Youth Orchestra, and the award of a FIPSE/CAPES scholarship to study at East Carolina University with Dr. Elliot Frank.
