If you haven't been fortunate enough to meet Vanessa and witness one of her head-turning, fiery, and passionate performances, you should definitely make sure U do! As a masterful musician and multi-instrumentalist, Vanessa Collier, weaves soul, funk, rock and blues into every performance. With soulful lyrics, searing saxophone, and witty songwriting, Vanessa is blazing a big trail. She has already won countless honors including 3 coveted Blues Music awards including 2 best "Horn Player of the Year" awards and in 2022 Vanessa won the best "Contemporary Blues female Artist of the Year!" It's equally amazing she's won all of these awards (plus, a total of 8 Blues Music Award nominations) while her career is still in it's infancy. As a 2013 graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music she has now released 4 critically acclaimed albums and tours internationally and nationally much of the year.
As for Collier, she says she's happy performing on stages throughout the world and strives to make a difference in the lives of her fans and followers along the way. "I am driven to do this because I find it a total form of expression and connection." Vanessa also takes time to connect with young people in the nationally recognized Blues in the Schools program.

So it is no surprise we are delighted to announce and welcome Vanessa Collier to the Brooks Theatre on March 24th as a part of the Live at the Brooks music series co-produced by the Six String Society along with the Oceanside Theatre Company.
We're also very excited to include Mr. Nathan James as the opener of the show. As a San Diego native, Nathan is an exceptionally talented guitarist, and vocalist. These days he regularly tours Europe and wows crowds with his masterful guitar & harp playing along with his vocals. One thing's for sure, this is going to be quite an evening in Oceanside on March 24th!
