Vandebilt Catholic Theatre Summer Camp 2017
Mon, Jun 19, 2017, 9:00 AM – Fri, Jun 23, 2017, 3:30 PM CDT
From the students who brought you The Addams Family, Into the Woods, and Annie, VC Theatre joins its actors, tech crew, and drama club members to host our first summer camp! We would love for your children, in grades 1-7 for the 2017-2018 school year, to join our talented and dedicated students for a week of activities including workshops on acting, singing, dancing, and improvisation, as well as games, crafts, and lots of fun. On Friday at 2:00, students will show off some of the skills they learned by performing for their loved ones. Students will receive a camp T-shirt and daily snacks. A schedule with details will be sent to the provided email once we have a count of children attending.
Each camper should bring:
a lunch and a drink
a thin jacket in case he/she gets cold
clothes that can get dirty
character shoes (don't buy any if you don't already have them)
sneakers (no flip flops or sandals; the shoe must be securely attached to the foot)
What should my child wear?
We may do crafts, roll on the ground for theatre exercises, go outside, etc.; therefore, all children should wear clothes that allow them to move and get dirty, while remaining properly covered.
What kind of snacks will be provided?
We will provide a variety of healthy and popular snacks. Drinks will be served with the snack. Water will be available throughout the day.
What if my child has an allergy?
Please let us know when you register. We will make every attempt to provide snacks for children with food allergies.
Who is in charge of the camp? How can I get in touch with the supervisor?
Tami RocheLedet, theatre director and moderator, is the camp director. She can be reached through Vandebilt at 985-876-2551 ext. 252 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Prior to camp starting, a phone number will be released to parents.
What is the earliest I can drop off my child?
We will unlock the doors to the building at 8:30 AM.
What is the latest I can pick up my child?
All children must be picked up no later than 4:00 PM so that we can begin preparing for the following day.
Will I need to sign my child in and out each day?
You will need to sign your child out of camp every day. Please have your ID ready to show to our counselors for afternoon pick-up. Children will only be released to people whose names are provided at the time of registration.
